Charlie Gourley
Since graduating from Aberdeen University in 1990 with a BEng (Hons) Charlie has worked in the oil & gas industry, initially as a Design Engineer with Tree & Wellhead suppliers, before moving to work as a Consultant Subsea Operations Engineer with several Operators and Well Management companies, progressing to become the Tree Technical Authority and Wells Subsea Team Lead for a major Operator. In these roles Charlie has been involved with the construction of new wells, interventions and abandonments of existing well stock and has gained valuable experience managing a team of Subsea Engineers, interfacing with different disciplines and managing contracts and supply chain.
James Stewart
After graduating from the University of Dundee in 2002 with a BEng (Hons) James worked as a Design/Systems Engineer for a gearbox manufacturer before joining a Tree & Wellhead manufacturer in 2004, also as a Design Engineer. James became a Chartered Engineer in 2006, partly due to breakthrough FEA work he performed on gate valves. James progressed to working as a Consultant in 2010 for a major Operator in the North Sea as a Subsea Wells Engineer and an Offshore Supervisor, managing the installation of subsea equipment. This capability combined with his design experience has allowed James to become an experienced and highly respected Subsea Engineer, capable of designing and developing subsea hardware as well as being able to supervise the installation of the equipment.
