Another busy month for TLA Subsea, with more virtual meetings and presentations as well as progressing the design and also speaking to banks to secure funding to build the prototype tensioner, which we succeeded in doing at the end of March.

A lot of effort has been made in sizing the spur gears to be used and these have now been designed and have been placed on order, the final long lead item that has to be procured. Most of the detailed drawings are now complete and will be issued for pricing over next week. SJ355 shall be used for the majority of the steelwork, so material lead time is not expected to be long, delivery will be dependent on machine shop availability and it looks like this is tightening up a bit, which is great news for this sector.

We have been in very positive discussions with a well respected engineering service company who we plan to partner with to build and test the prototype tensioner.
